Handling capacity
13.6 kg (in any position)
Wall thickness
between 61 and 183 cm
Reach
approx. 3 m
Additional functions
Bootings, customer-specific tools, and much more.

Further information Model-9

Using a system of stainless steel bands and cables, the operator arm (also known as the hot arm) can mimic all the movements of the working arm (also known as the cold arm). This design principle allows the operator in nuclear laboratories to perform super-precise tasks safely and easily. The Model-9 telemanipulator is basically a manually operated machine with electric actuators that allow side-to-side and back-and-forth movement of the hot arm to the cold arm. These movements are controlled by a 4-way thumb switch on the handle.

This super-smooth, low-resistance operation provides exceptional dexterity and tactile responsiveness, allowing operators to perform even the most delicate and demanding tasks with confidence, accuracy and minimal effort. With the Model-9 telemanipulator, Wälischmiller UK is setting a benchmark for precision, control and safety in nuclear laboratory operations.

Questions and answers Model-9

Model-9 in action: these customers are convinced

What are the main advantages of telemanipulators compared to direct manual work?

Telemanipulators significantly increase occupational safety by physically separating the operator from the danger zone (e.g. radiation, toxic substances, contamination). At the same time, they enable precise, sensitive power transmission and high movement accuracy.

In which industries are telemanipulators typically used?

Typical areas of application are nuclear technology, nuclear medicine, research facilities, the pharmaceutical industry and industrial applications with critical or contaminated processes.

How precisely can work be carried out with a telemanipulator?

Modern telemanipulators enable high-precision movements with finely adjustable power transmission. This means that even complex assembly, cutting or maintenance work can be carried out safely and in a controlled manner.

Can telemanipulators be individually adapted to specific applications?

Yes, depending on the requirements, the reach, load capacity, tools, control concepts and interfaces can be configured to suit the customer. This allows customized solutions to be implemented for special process requirements.
