Wälischmiller Engineering is versatile and has a vertical range of manufacture that is second to none. We not only offer engineering, but also manufacture, assemble, pack and organize all deliveries.
For you as a customer, this means fast response times and short delivery times on the one hand, and noticeably higher quality and faster service than other companies on the other.
Our specialist personnel are available worldwide, even at short notice, for maintenance and repair work. Do special safety regulations or access qualifications apply in your industry?
No problem, our personnel are qualified to work under special conditions, e.g. in the controlled areas of nuclear facilities.
Not possible, doesn't exist! Just ask HWM! We usually find an innovative, constructive solution for every individual challenge.
As a customer, you will always receive robots or manipulators from HWM that are one hundred percent tailored to your specific application and requirements. We would like to demonstrate this to you using a selection of exemplary projects.
Wälischmiller not only masters engineering, but also a wide range of manufacturing processes: from steel and stainless steel construction to machining, electrical and plastics production.
We produce both individual parts and small batches. Our production is optimally designed and ensures fast delivery times and reliable quality.
We are your point of contact for engineering in the field of handling technology. In addition, our state-of-the-art machinery enables us to manufacture on a contract basis in the following areas:
We manufacture the following products, for example, on a production area of 790 m²:
Our highly trained employees in steel construction are your guarantee for the best quality and thus for low maintenance costs and the best amortization:
Bending, welding, grinding, polishing and glass bead blasting are all carried out in-house. We also manufacture heavy stainless steel welded constructions.
Our ultra-modern machining machines make it possible to produce almost all construction parts as Customized individual pieces or as series parts in stock. With us as your supplier, you always remain flexible and efficient.
Our electrical engineers and electricians build and wire the control cabinets and control panels for our systems. The main components we use Siemens PLC controls are programmed in the electrical production department. The wiring and cabling for the power and control cables are also assembled and tested in this department.
Our plastics department primarily produces the protective covers for the manipulator arms. The highly elastic "bootings" are manufactured using the injection molding process.

We assemble, test and approve on an area of 1,000 m². In our 15 m high, flexibly equipped assembly hall with a 5 m deep water basin, we can exactly replicate the spatial conditions at the customer's premises. We can therefore guarantee a smooth and safe assembly process on the construction site.
Due to our work in nuclear technology, we are accustomed to providing complete documentation from the allocation of the semi-finished product to the material re-stamping through to the complete system documentation. Our processes and our quality management system are designed and developed accordingly.
Our machinery forms the technical backbone of production and stands for maximum precision and versatile machining options. In Markdorf, we combine state-of-the-art CNC lathes and milling machines, advanced welding technology and a comprehensive vertical range of manufacture that enables us to efficiently produce both complex individual parts and series components. This high-performance equipment creates decisive advantages in terms of quality and flexibility, which underline Wälischmiller's high level of engineering expertise in the field of manipulators, robotics and special machine construction.
Motorized axes with endless rotary movements, haptic input arms and HMI/joystick control enable sensitive, repeatable movements with improved ergonomics. The TELBOT® can also be flexibly configured and integrated into existing systems without requiring the radiation protection window as an operating point.
From parallel/three-finger grippers and cutting/sawing/milling tools to samplers, measuring and cleaning tools, a broad portfolio is available. Depending on the version, tools can be changed manually or with Quick-Change; the components are designed for environments exposed to radiation and media.
The control runs via HMI/joystick or master arms with adjustable support. Mechanical and electrical interfaces allow connection to cranes, rail systems and existing PLC/control systems; industrial fieldbus/I/O concepts are common. Simulation/offline sequences optionally support cycle and collision checking.
The encapsulated kinematics and radiation-resistant components reduce the risk of contamination and failure, while ALARA is supported by reproducible cycles and remote handling. Acceptances are carried out via FAT/SAT with full documentation; CE and compliance requirements are taken into account on a project-specific basis.
From engineering, commissioning and training to preventive maintenance and spare parts over many years, operators receive everything from a single source. Optional SLAs, remote support and retrofit upgrades are available - for high availability and predictable operating costs.
Depending on the degree of customization, the typical duration is between 12-15 months (customer-specific arm kinematics/end effectors, system integration, verifications). Milestones are usually: Feasibility check → concept/specification → design/production → FAT/SAT → commissioning & training.
