About Swindon

Wälischmiller UK - A Tradition that shapes the Future

Wälischmiller UK in Swindon has a decades-long tradition in the development and manufacture of remote-handling systems for the British nuclear industry. The site's roots date back to the early days of the nuclear industry in the United Kingdom.

A significant part of this technical heritage is associated with Vickers Engineering, whose engineering expertise has had a decisive influence on the development of manipulator and remote-handling systems. Today, Wälischmiller UK develops, manufactures, and modernizes telemanipulators and tools for its customers.

Wälischmiller UK

Proven manipulator technology for the most demanding applications

Wälischmiller UK develops and manufactures manipulators specifically designed for use in radioactive, shielded, and safety-critical work areas. The product portfolio includes mechanical and servo-assisted remote-handling systems that are valued for their reliability, precision, and durability.

Core products include the proven VNE-80 and VNE-90 tele-manipulators for precise remote handling tasks, the high-performance VNE-100 for applications involving larger loads and longer reaches, as well as the VNE-100S Servo Manipulator, which combines electric drive technology with maximum operator ergonomics. The portfolio is rounded out by the Model-9 2.0, a compact telemanipulator for laboratory and research applications.

All systems are designed for maximum operational reliability, a long service life, and minimal maintenance requirements. In addition, Wälischmiller UK supports its customers with retrofits, replacement parts, services, and customized engineering solutions.
